  • Enjoying a clear Sunday afternoon.  Sometimes you just need to take a break.  I worked this morning and had such eye strain that I needed to close my eyes for awhile.  After that I was able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather in Florida!!

Do you believe that you are strong, capable, amazing?

Our brains will always back up the things it believes in.  So if you believe that you can lose weight - you'll figure it out. 
If you believe you are someone who can't keep the weight loss off then guess what?  You will be stuck in a loop of self sabotage that can feel very difficult to get out of.

Start telling your brain a new version of these stories.  Give it something awesome to believe in and prove true.

This is something I recommend journaling on often.  Let go of the shitty version of the stories you've got going on and start telling the version you'd like to be true.

  • As we start this new year and go after our New Year's Resolutions just remember to be kind to your mind.  Often times it might feel like it's working against you as you work on a goal like weight loss.  You'll crave certain foods over and over. 

Our minds are programmed to take care of us.  It knows exactly what you want or what helped you based on past experiences.  If you have ever craved "comfort food" then you know what I'm talking about.  For years you ate certain things to 'feel better'. So now here you are trying to lose weight or eat less and the cravings keep happening. 

This is why I say - be kind to your mind.  It's doing it's job and trying to make you feel better. 

You create new programming for your brain every time you over ride old thinking.  It's your chance to teach your mind that there are other ways to feel good. 

I help my clients recognize when their old habits are working against them.  We make it easier to achieve the goal they want.
